Going Asian for Feeling Sketchy

Hi again I know, I know three posts in one weekend, I'm amazed too. This card is for this weeks sketch at Feeling Sketchy As soon as I saw the layout I knew I had to pull out the Asian blossom flowers.

Everything on my card is from Stampin' Up! I used the Fancy Fan embossing folder on the background and to blossom stamp is from a retired Hostess set called Simply Soft which is actually a two step stamp but I chose to colour the blossoms with ink and my blender pen. I love the elegance of black, real red and whisper white together.

Here is the sketch:

I have to say it has been a good day in the craft room, my enthusiasm is on the come back. I hope you like how I have interpreted this sketch.

A Big Hug for Passion for ProMarkers

The time has come, I think my colouring has finally got good enough to enter a card in the Passion for ProMarkers Challenge. I have recently purchased a number of Flex Markers to go with the Pro Markers I already had, I am enjoying the 'gaps' that some of the colors are filling for me. This cute little girl is an image from Meljen Design called 'little girl bear hugs and is perfect for this theme which is give us a cuddle.

The papers I have had in my stash forever but decided the stitched whimsical look went well with the whimsy of the image. I have matted with Stampin' Ups, Always Artichoke as is the sentiment stamp.
The flowers are from Prima I think from my local scrapbook shop. I had fun colouring this cutie but can see I still have some work to do on my technique. I hope you like my card.

Flying High.....Up UP and Away!

Hi there,
I have had a great day in my craft room today, there was a builder doing some repairs to our bathroom which has left me house bound pretty much all day. It doesn't take much for me to have an excuse to stay in my room and play LOL! The card I am sharing is my entry into the Digital Tuesday Challenge I have been meaning to enter something into this challenge for a while now but never seem to find the time, when I saw the theme Up Up and Away I couldn't wait to colour up Tiddly Inks new Flying High digi image.

These puppies are soooo cute. The papers are from Stampin' Up! and I have coloured the images with my Pro & Flex Markers. The clouds I did by masking and inking with a sponge. I am pleased to finally get an entry into Digital Tuesday. I hope you like my card.

Teachers Pet for inspiration

Hi there,
I have recently stumbled across another challenge sight with awesome digital images and decided to play along. Simply Betty Stamps have a great range of slightly quirky images so if you are looking for something different from the sweet and innocent, these may be the images for you. I am entering a card that I have made for my daughter into Simply Challenged Challenges Anything goes theme.
My daughter has started VCE this year and is a little overwhelmed with the amount of work she has to get through each and every day. As soon as I saw 'Teachers Pet Betty' digi image I just had to make this card to cheer her up and give her some encouragement.

I have tried to stay true to the actual uniform colours that my daughter wears but because I only had one shade of this bottle green I had to use my greys to do the shading, I am actually pretty please with how it turned out, I think I am getting used to the Flex markers and they are blending with my Pro Markers quite well. I hope this card will be a reminder to Alix throughout the year that she can do it, we are here to support her, and not to give up!

P.S. VCE in Australia is the final year of high school before students go onto college .

I hope you like my card, leave me a comment..........I love reading your feed back!

Soft colours for JUGS

Hi there,
I have a quick post for you tonight to share the card I have made for the sketch over at Just Us Girls.
During the week I received my order from Letraset of Flex Markers. I have used Pro Markers for a while but never tried the Flex markers. There are some lovely colours available that you cannot get in Pro Markers. I wanted to give some soft pastel colours a go for something different and Tilda was the perfect image to do it with.

Here is the sketch:

And here is the card I have come up with

I still have a bit of practicing to do to get the technique of the the flex markers right.
