Berry sweet card for Feeling Sketchy #44

I am suffering severely from  work brain overload ATM, 2nd week back and training a new staff member has zapped my mojo into hibernation. However, I decided to use the Australia Day long weekend to sit at my desk and see what I could come up with. I wanted to play at Feeling Sketchy considering I missed last weeks challenge completely. The layout is very much a scrapbook one but because I don't scrapbook I have converted it into a card.
Here is the sketch:

Here is my card, I have used the sweet 'Strawberry Beatrice' image from CC Design and the papers are from a DCWV pack called Nana's Nursery Baby Girl that I picked up at Big W a few years ago. Stampin Ups Lucky Limeade match it just perfectly. The image has been coloured using my Pro Markers and the sentiment was done on the computer. The strawberries where fussy cut from the background paper but I wasn't happy with the depth of colour so I coloured over them with my Pro Makers which just gives them a little more definition and also makes them stand out a bit more.

I hope you like mt card, pop over to Feeling Sketchy and play along. See you next time when my mojo returns!

Thanks Girls for picking my card!

hello, friend FS#41

Hi there, it's time again to enter this weeks card at Feeling Sketchy #41. I have had a bit of a mojo slump this week so really struggled to come up with a card I was happy with.

I wanted to use the Stampin Up! Little Friends set because I haven't inked it up much since I got it and it works so well with my Pro Markers. My SIL gave me some Kaiser 'Beetle Bug' papers some time ago so I pulled them out and decided to go with the little boy with his cart.

Like I said I really struggled putting this card together but after a few colour changes and a bit of background stamping I settled on red and green with the stripes to high light.

Once it was all together I felt like it still needed something so I added a bit of faux stitching around all pieces, just what it needed! Anyway this is my card, sorry the photo has come out  bit fuzzy. Check out the great sketch at Feeling Sketchy you might want to play along too.

I'll see if I can find some mojo for next week! LOL

Anything goes at Tiddly Inks

Hi there this week anything goes over at Tiddly Inks so I have made a card using the adorable Everyday Princess which you can get here. She has been coloured with Pro Markers and I matched it up with Graphic 45 papers using Crumb Cake and Soft Suede for contrast. Adding a few punched flowers and leaves along with the larger teal flower gave it a lovely detail down the side with a couple of birthday wish "tickets" which I made using a small round punch in the corners to fill the space out.
Stampin Ups "Queen for a day" stamp is the perfect sentiment for this little princess.

This image is so sweet, I hope you like my entry in this weeks challenge. I have been playing around with my camera setting trying to improve the photo quality of my cards. These aren't too bad, still a work in progress.

U ROCK my world at Feeling Sketchy #41

Hi Guys,
I hope you Aussie girls have enjoy a slightly cooler weekend safe from fires and cyclones. Today I spent some time in my craft room making a card for #41 at Feeling Sketchy. I purchased this cute "Little Goth Girl" digital image from Meljen Designs a while ago but hadn't gotten around to colouring her up. Her tall slender stance is perfect for the sketch this week.

My daughter suggested I add the pink tips to her hair, inspired by one of her friends who recently had her hair dip died. I am really please with the 'shine' i managed to create on the image using Pro Markers,  although I still need to work on the hair!

Here is the sketch I had to follow:

For the sentiment I carefully selected each word at a time and covered with Versa mark pen. This allowed me to not only change the placement but also to emboss in different colours. I have used white and Mambo Melon embossing powder.

The hot pink metallic heart card stock was absolutely perfect for this image. I think she is so adorable don't you? I hope you like my challenge card.

FMS #67

Hi there, can you tell I am really making the most of all this time off from work! It's a pity it will all come to an end on Monday ...back to work. But anyway while I have got the time today's card is for Freshly Made Sketches challenge #67 which is a fab sketch by Jennifer T.

I have pulled out some Stampin Up! papers to make this one

Here is the sketch:

I let the DSP choose the colors for me, who would have thought, Primrose Pink and Summer Starfruit layered together, not a colour combo I would naturally go with but I think I like it.

I hope you like it too, leave a comment I love to read what you think.

Good Inspiration for #40 at Feeling Sketchy

Hi there, today's card is again for Feeling Sketchy, I am really enjoying the card maps the girls come up with and because it is an Aussie blog challenge this one has fast become my favourite challenge to enter. I can't wait until the new DT members start inspiring us as well.

Here is the sketch for this week, although it is very much a scrapbook layout I found it very easy to adapt into a card. (I don't scrapbook!)

I have channeled Narelle Farugia's style that I am a big fan of and added lots of layers with a monochromatic colour scheme. The papers, cardstock, ink, ribbon, leaves and stamped quote are all from Stampin' Up! while the flowers and pearls are Prima, I think from my local scrapbook shop. After I put my elements all together it still needed something, I played around with more flowers but it just wasn't working, then I remembered the bag of feathers I purchased while I was n Canberra a few months ago and whaa la ...... perfect!

Here's my card I hope you like it;
