It's the weekend....yahoo!!!

Happy Saturday, I hope all is well in your part of the planet. What a week it has been....... a new Prime minister and a female at that!!!  Great mail from my lovely group friends and work was actually pretty good as well!!!

I want to share with you some cards that I am quite proud of the way they turned out. And yes I know, another easel card....... I told you I like this style!

I had a baby shower to go to and I didn't want to do the same old Baby card because that's what you give once the baby is actually born so I found this image and decided to do a maternity theme instead. Firstly I printed the digi image on the computer in grayscale. I then took my medium pen and trace over the image. To this i add pearl embossing powder and embossed. I then decided with this colour I need to keep the rest of the image soft and subtle so I chose Pro Marker colours Satin for the skin tone, Dusty pink and Pastel Pink for the clothing and a touch of Cinnamon for the hair and flower highlights. The saying on the base came from Kaiser Peek-a-Boo paper range and was also part of the inspiration for soft colours. The background paper is just natural cardstock ran through a dots cuttlebug folder. The ribbon is from Basic grey and of course the prima flower with pearl centre just finish it of nicely. I really like the subtle tones of this card and hope you do too. The mum to be loved it! xoxox Dani

Friendship card

OMG has it really been 12 days since I was last here!!! Well I have been a little productive in the craft room. I have found myself pulling out stamps that I haven't used for a while because they work so well with the style that I am obsessed with. This very cute Easel card I made for the June friendship swap for my Angel's ATC group that I am in. The stamp is from stampin up, the papers are from the Grace Taylor range. I cut the butterfly and the tag out on my cuttlebug and distressed them with Ranger inks. The buttons came in one of those great little packs and where the inspiration behind the choice of colours I have used to colour the little girls clothes, again I did that with my Pro Markers.
This was the first Easel card I had ever made and I am very proud of the end result.  and Rikki, who was the lucky recipient loves it as well.............I hope you like it too.

P.S. I have know started on my Christmas cards....... is that to early?? Oh well just making sure I get them done this year..... Stay tuned and I will share some with you soon. Cheers,Dani xoxox

Using Kaszazz Stamps

WOW..... How time flys, I have been a little busy with an unexpected trip to Tassie for a funeral and getting organised for my sons 18 birthday party, however I have managed to get a bit of card making in. The next couple of cards I am going to show you have been done with Kaszazz stamps and coloured with my trusty Pro Markers, that I love so much, and also Rangers distress inks. I really have a thing  about leaving white space! My images some how feels unfinished if i have white space around them so my blending tool is my very best friend at the moment. Anyway this first card  I made for a friend of my daughters, she is turning 15 and we all know how a girl loves to shop...LOL I kept it fairly simple with the image being the highlight of the card.

The next one is also an easle card, I decided to make both these cards in the easle style because it allows me to get a bit more on the page, so to speak, when i am using a slightly larger image than normal. By having that area on the bass of the card I don't feel like I have to clog up the front of the card with all the elements i want to add. With this one I coloured chipboard brackets and numbers with distress ink and then clear embossed them to make them shine. I will definately be making it quite clear to Jacob that by no means is he ever to drive in this way!!

I hope you have enjoyed what i have to share today and until next time.....happy creating! Dani xoxo
